Is this a normal reaction to waxing?

I went to a local beautician the other dya to get my eyebrows waxed. I’ve been a few times and obviously it’s painful during the waxing and for a few minutes after, however this time it was incredibly painful and tender to touch, the area was also very red and slightly swollen, after the waxing for nearly the whole day. The next day an area beneath my eyebrows had formed small scabs. Is this a normal reaction or was the beauty therapists doing the waxing incorrectly?

Answer #1

That’s not normal, no, BUTTTT if you’re on birth control a lot of my friends have found that it thins your face skin, so you can’t really wax your eyebrows without risking getting burnt :L So could that be it? Otherwise I don’t know what could’ve happened, person was probably stupid.

no thats not normal, put some ice on it, and next time try tweezing you eyebrows, less trouble and less skin problems, thats what i do
