Is it normal for this much hair to fall out after dying it?

Its not a handfull of hair..its quite a few strands, though. When I shower I normally have 5 MAXIMUM come out throughout the course of my shower, but after dying it (and only when its rincing out the dye/putingg the conditioner in) I have 5 strands coming out at a time, and about 3 or 4 times. I don’t dye regularly and wait a month before dying again, if I do. I dyed it close to my natural hair colour (dark brown) if that helps. so, is this normal or am I going to lose all my hair from dying it over the years. ): I’ve already noticed its gotten thinner through the years, but that’s also with cutting it, getting it layered and the hair dresser using this razor thing…that’s when I initially noticed it was thinner.

hair becoming thinner as you age is normal, but over processing it could do damage as well. but i wouldnt be worried!

Answer #3

oh! and you should definilty deep condition afterwards! it will help so much

The average person loses 100 strands of hair a day, I wouldn’t be worried… Try waiting 6 to 8 weeks before dying again instead of a month, and only blow-dry/curl/straighten if you have to. This will help your hair. Also, razor-cutting your hair makes it appear and feel thinner.

Hair loss, alopecia, thinning of hair and balding are some of the common hair problems. Many of us suffer from these ailments due to our modern lifestyle and diet.

Daily application of coconut oil mixed with lime juice on the hair is also beneficial. Applying juice of green coriander leaves on the head is also good.
