Are the nipples stretched out whenever you get breast implants?
I’m getting implants and I was wondering if the nipples are stretched out whenever they are implanted. I don’t want my nipples to look extra small.
They usually cut off the nipple to insert the implant, to try and avoid scars… So when it all gets put back together, your nipples might not look the same any more. But talk yo your docter about it. Voice your concerns and tell him what you don’t want to look like. Its his job to give you what you want… But you need to tell him, or he won’t know.
The most common breast augmentation uses an incision below the breast. This incision can be long since it is well hidden by the breast itself. Implants are often inserted through in incision on the boarder of the aerola but the nipple is not normally removed. Through the armpit and from the abdomen are other techniques. Nipples are removed when necessary to relocate them to have a more natural or symmetric appearance. Note that when they are removed the nerves are severed so after surgery they loose their sensitivity.
