Why is it that at night i have an intense painful discomfort in my muscles that feels like its going into the bone and tendons?

its extremely annoying, i feel tense, cramped up, there are no spasms though. Its a constant pain. Its usually in my arms, sometimes my legs too, and sometimes all over. I’ve been doing a lot of working out and weightlifting, but i don’t know why i would feel like this at night. Fibromyalgia also runs in my family…. what could it be?

Answer #1

Possibly. Have you seen a doc? —I have muscle issues. Almost 2 years ago i well in my bath tub and hit my spine really hard and i get really bad muscle aches and spasms all the time. —If you weight lift to much, you could be causing strain on the muslces. Maybe you can try laying off that for a while and see if anything changes.

so what should i do? should i just take pain relievers? its an intense pain, it feels deeper than my muscles

Answer #10

You stated that this only happens at night. At night your muscles are relaxing, they are no longer under the stresses of the day. You stated that you feel a majority of the pain in your extremities. This could be caused by poor circulation (peripheral vascular disease). Have you ever experienced any muscle cramping at night? You can try taking vitamin D supplements. This will help with the sorness of the muscles, also with cramping. You already know about fibromyalgia. You have described some of the symptoms, you also stated that you have a family history of this disease. You may want to schedule an appoinment with your primary care physician, if these symptoms persist. One last question. Do you have pain in your joints as well?

Answer #11

I think i found out what’s wrong! i am going to the doctor soon, but i think i have fibromyalgia.

Answer #12

Answer #14
