Ngamer is age restricted?

When I went to asda (I walked as part of my new regime, its like a mile and a half each way) I went to buy a copy of ngamer but I did self checkout and it was age restricted. I am 13 and the woman said I had to be 15 or over. Yet my mate who is 14 got it. Has this happened to anyone or something similar? I was annoyed, I had to walk another half mile to get the nintendo mag at smiths.
