Next question. My Kitten. Behavior.

My Kitten is 6 weeks old and he is a white and tanish orange tabby. He is VERY mean. He bites and scratches to the point he draws blood and leaves scars. I hurts like mess. I’ve tried “NO” I’ve popped him, but all this does is make him more playful and mean. Heack bI can’t even walk around without my feet getting attacked. What should I do?

what does your cat do when it gets hurt? it sounds like owww or ouch or reooow. when cats are babies they play with their litter mates and the noises they make help to understand one anothers threshold for pain. ouch worked with my child hood cat. or fake cry

6 weeks is VERY young for kitten (it’s young for pup, too, to leave it’s mom)…however, mama cats don’t usually wean kittens until they are nearly 4 months, so this kitten has missed out on lots of “good kitty” behavior lessons…

At this age, I like the “leaving the game”…it’s a dog trick, but may well work with a very young kitten as well…when things get too rough, end the game. It’s a passive correction…also.

this is because his mom did not get to teach him manners. You need to step in. I know this may sound mean but it is not. When he miss behaves or bites just take him and hold him down (just enough that he can’t get up) he will fight and struggle, don’t give in. Let him give in first. Their are great books out there and knowledge for all you recent questions. I just started reading Cesar Millan, and I work at a Vet Hopistal. So I learn tricks everyday so I don’t get bite up or scratched.
