Newsletters from funadvice

On your profile you can get newsletters or something from categories you pick, I picked 2 and its been a while now, and I haven got notified if a question has been brought up, is there somethin wrong, or am I thinkin of it in a wrong way?

Go to: Edit My Profile than Newsletter Preferences - now, once you are there make sure that your alerts/notifications are turned on than hit “save” at the bottom. If that does nothing then contact an admin; “thedude” “editor” or “lex_icon”.

  I believe that that function was discontinued a couple of months ago. I used to get notifications by email of questions in the categories I’d selected too.

I think now the only time you get notification is if you have Answered a Question and before submitting your Answer you check mark the box by “Email me when this topic gets updated.”

I think all you can do now is click on the Questions link near the top of the page and then browse all Questions or you can click on the category you are interested in under Categories on the left side of the page.

Sorry, yes, we had to disable them for a while due to some email problems. A few months ago, we moved to an email verification system because we had a LOT of bad email addresses and it was hurting our ability to send email to members who actually wanted to get email from us.

We will bring the category notifications back soon, thanks for your patience with us :)
