Newfoundland dogs

We are getting a newf puppy next month, does anyone have some any advise for us, we are all very excited. Any advise would be great, thank you sooo much

this is out of one of my dog books and they were just on the Animal Planet on Dogs 101

The Newfoundland is a large dog. It is strong, elegant, harmonious, agile, and hardy. Heigt 28 inches, b*tches 26 inches. Average weight 120-150 pounds. It has a massive head with a short, square muzzle, Eyes-small and dark. Personality- It is a dog with an outstanding temperament. Good, courageous, genersous, intelligent, human. It is also a patient dog, maild with guest and not obsequio9uos with its master. Uses. Newfoundland is an instinctive water rescue dog. Many owe their lives to members of the breed.

I LOVE Newf’s…they are happy, friendly, HUGE goofs…who love to swim…There is no particular advice to give, other than regular “large dog” type…like keeping the growth rate slowed with lower protein food…Keeping the exercise often yet light till his bones harden…
