new years down the drain

my parents flipped on me when I got home cuzz they knew I was going to a party but when I got home they thought I went to my friends party but I went to this other girls. I told them after were I was and still they say I was lying and that they cant trust me ever. I dont get why they got so dan mad about it. anyways to make thing better or what to say.?

Apologize - tell them you did not intentionally mislead them - next time if you change from what you told them, you’ll call…they worry…Happy New Year !!

contact both party hosts then have them inform your parents of where youve been

They are your parents, they love you and they try and do their best to protect you. If you were going to be somewhere else, it is your responsibility to call them and tell them that your plans had changed. What if something had happened to you - they would have had no clue where to look or where you had been last. You have to remember that when they get mad - there is a reason. Now it’s your job to act grown up and show them you can be responsible, losing their trust is easy and hard to get back.
