I know betas are fighting fish; I only have one by himself in it's own tank, nothing else but marbles and a water plant. - but I came home and his tail is gone and it looks red and bloody. there isn't any blood in the water though and his tail isn't floating around anywhere. I'm just wondering if anybody else has heard of this b/c I can't find anything on-line and it worries me that my fish is so self destructive. he's about 2 years old. is this something they do near the end of their life? is it a fish disease? anybody?
I have betta's and it could be a canoble. It could be you forgot to feed him or something like that. Take it to someone who knows more. It could just be shedding or something. I dont think it's either the last two. It could be that it is hurgry though.
its some sort of disease it is treatable but I forgot what the medicine was called but go to petsmart and match the symptoms to the medicine
