Comfort my yellow lab?
my dog is 7 years old she is a yellow lab and she just had surjury to remove a bigger than golf ball size lump of cancer near her rectum I hate the pain killer pills she is on how do I comfort her

awww. well at least you got the cancer in time. id say just spending time with her would make her happy. dogs are very loyal to their owners and I bet she loves you very much. just lie down with her and watch TV. Buy her some special treats and just spend time with her.
Dogs have a much higher pain tolerance than people do. Even so, the pain pills will help dull the pain. You may not like them, but they could help her out a lot while she is recovering. Other than the pills, just hang out with her. She will enjoy your company and will recover quicker. Good luck! Sam
