Hey “luckydevil”,its completely normal when a dog whines or yelps when someone tries to lift them because they experience soreness on the shoulder blades because that’s where they give them the shot. Some dogs vomit, feel fatigued or lose appetite after these shots. So don’t worry about your puppy getting vaccinated. My 6 month old puppy has whined for 2 days in since yesterday because of his shot. They offer painkillers it it persists for more than 2 days. Good luck! And have with your lil shih tzu as I have one too, be patient with their potty training as they can be REAL stubborn. But they’re intelligent and they’ll catch on ;)

Puppies can experience soreness near their shoulderblade because that is where they inject the shot. My puppy was experiencing the same thing, he would yelp and whine I tried to pick him up. Vet said its normal but if the pain exceeds for more than 2 days they can give you painkillers for him/her.

take her to the vet to see whats wrong. then if something comes up do whatever it takes to make her feel better. then if theyre is nuttin wrong juss cuddle with her nd stuff like that then she will feel somewhat better. but taking her to the vet to be checked up is pretty much where to start.

This is NORMAL. Right after an animal gets shots, the can sometimes get sick like people. Because a shot is really just a “smaller” version of a sickness. To put it simply, by putting a small “sickness” into the animal or person with a shot, the body is able to fight it off and it then knows how to battle the sickness if it ever catches it. You dont need to take your puppy to the vet. She will get over this in a day or two. If after two or three days she is still sick then I would call the vet for advice on whether to bring her in. For now, make sure she has a nice place to rest with water and food and dont bother her too much.
