My poor ferret

okay, I was letting my 2 ferrets play on my bed, and I normally have pillows around it but this time I forgot. My male ferret was playing with the female and the male ferret started falling off the bed, I reached for him but I didnt catch him, instead I kinda pushed him a little farther so his head hit the wall and the he fell to the ground. he was dazed on the ground and I picked him up and started stroking him, he seemed okay but I am just asking to be sure. Is he okay???

I have a full sized bed and its about 2 feet of the ground, I also have hardwood flooring. Hope this helps you answer my question!

Answer #1

you should take him to the vet from that 4 foot fall then you kinda caught him you need to be more protective they could die from just falling 1 foot so get him checked how long was your ferret loopy like dizzy after fallin off bed if it was a while he could be ingured

Answer #2

he can get injured like any other animal or human . you need to ferret proof your home. they do play and can get caught in high places but you need to maybe fix one room as there play room so they don’t get injured. if you ever need to ask is he ok you probably need to call your vet. since there coordination is so off and they are so clumsy it would be hard to say yes without seeing him. but if he does act confused or don’t eat or his pupils gets large you need to see a vet immediately. good luck. diane

Answer #3

He will be fine. Our ferrets are like mini evil kinevals! They run into and jump of stuff all the time and they are just fine. =o) just give him some extra love.

Answer #4

Aw, he’s probably fine… unless he starts to acts weird…

Answer #5

He is probably fine. If his behavior seems different or he seems to walk ‘funny’ please take him to the Vet.

Answer #6

are they like the 2 ferrets from Dar, The Beastmaster?

Answer #7

I’m sure he’s fine…they’re pretty resilient.

Answer #8

he also fell earlier that day, he was on top of his 4 foot tall cage, and he fell but I kinda caught him.
