My lovebird has a weird little patch under his beak

My 4-month-old peach-faced lovebird has a weird little patch under his beak where there are no feathers. It isn’t red or inflamed in any way and it doesn’t seem to be causing him any discomfort. Is this normal?

sometimes birds pull out their feathers if they are lonely. Maybe it needs a mate
