my hair dye keeps falling off

I bleached my hair so that I could dye it a lighter color. The day after, I tried to dye it light brown, I left it on for 45 min. it seemed to have worked then I washed my hair. when my hair dried I noticed that the hair dye had fallen. I tried it again a week later and it fell off again. what is wrong ???

do you mean that it fades?

You can buy special shampoos for color treated hair. usually you can find them for your specific colors, or you can get a general one like Herbal essences color me happy. All color fades over time.

ok advice from a hairdresser…your hair is probably very porus and that means its nackered from the bleach…so the hair cuticals are open and left open becase the hair is weak…so any colour you put on it the cuticals arent able to shut and lock it in so when you wash I…it just come back out and fades…it depends on what percentage of peroxide you used aswell… and how long you left it on for..

First, why did you bleach your hair to go lighter?! Unless you wanted to be platinum, there are MUCH better ways to go lighter. It sounds like your hair is very damaged, and probably very porous, but overly porous hair would have absorbed TOO much color, so there is probably another problem. Are you positive that the product was mixed correctly? What did you use - demi, semi, or permanent? Had you chemically treated your hair with anything else within the previous two weeks? All of these are things to consider in finding the problem.
