My friend has a 95% chance of dying!

Given those chances, I personally would tell her to get an abortion. And really, if she didnt and did end up dying, chances are the baby would grow up lonely (no mother, father is gone) and might even have a chance of dying itself at a young age because of the teen pregnancy issues.

Ya in that case an abortion would be needed. Think about it at 13 shes still a young kid herself and has lots of life to live and shouldn’t risk her live because she was raped.

I don’t know of any condition that has a 95% chance of death upon delivery of a child so this MUST be a hell of a joke conjured up by someone trying to get an abortion debate out of people if it’s for the sake of the mother’s health.

First off your friend needs to contact the police about getting raped - then the next step is to talk to her health care provider. Her doctor will go over everything with her and walk her through this, they will discuss her options and tell her what the best thing to do it. It’s better for her to ask a professional what to do.

I sincerely don’t think anyone has a say in whether or not there is an abortion in ANY situation OTHER THAN the people involved (the soon to be mother, father, and the physician). If you are her friend, you don’t tell her what to do, you be there for her no matter what she decides.

This is her decision and if she believes that the baby’s life is worth more than hers, all you can do is try to show her that her life is valuable. Telling her she’s wrong isn’t going to help anything.
