My dial up internet...

I would also check with your service provider and maybe they can help you resolve the issue with dial up. My parents and sisters had Dial Up in their home. Well, when I was living with them they did and it was slow according to my sisters and mother. I never had a computer so I wouldn’t know. I have AT&T High speed which is DSL and I love it! You can try what the person above suggested to punch in a code as well. Still, I’d check with your provider. Good Luck. And to add, since I have a computer now, I wouldn’t want Dial Up. I hear too many complaints with it. Again, I wish you the best of luck with your Dial up.

You might have to bring this up with your internet service provider…it’s been many years since I had dial-up, but I don’t recall it ever doing that.

It’s probably because someone is calling you and disrupting the dial up line. Can you get a second phone line?
