My dad wont get the dog I want 'cause its too small!

Hello! I have a big problem my dad said he’ll get me a dog but when I told him I want a toy pomeranian he said no because its too small ..long story…can anyone give me some ansers that he’ll change hes mind!!! (ps. I dont want a different breed)

Answer #1

tell him how big dogs have a chance of attacking people and getting you sued easier than other dogs. show him how much more responsibilty it will be to have a big dog. remind him that big dogs are more expensive. they eat more, their collars and leashes are larger and therefore cost more, their crates can be double as expenisve, and thats just the inital preperation cost.

the truth is he wants a dog the size of a racoon!!! but I ONLY like small dogs…let me tell you guys the story…ok lets say I get the dog I want kay its time for it to take a walk kay a much bigger dog walks buy me and my dog that bigger dog is very likely to jump on my pom that dog might kill my pom or might jump on me!!! I kept saying that I’ll bring a gun or something like that it dosent work then he says the dog must be at least as big as a racoon cause poms are very friendly that racoon might even attack my pom and do nothing he says poms are too FRIENDLY that my pom wont do a thing to hurt that racoon or skunk…T_T

Answer #3

Since your dad’s reason is size…not breed, not temperment, not hair…I don’t think you’ll be able to change his mind. Sounds like compromise time to me…like maybe an American Eskimo or another northern breed that’s just a little bit bigger…

Answer #4

show him what a sweet lovable dog a pom is and also show him only the bad parts about big dogs

Answer #5

research on the dog and show your dad all da positive things about da dog and if that dosent convince him show him da disadvantages of havin a big dog like dey attack to easily if you don’t train it properly or their mood changes

Answer #6

I actually have a toy pomeranian. Do your research on the breed and show your father the pro’s of having that type of breed. They’re easily trainable, patient, very affectionate, smart, and easy to handle. When me and my fiance first met he didn’t like small dogs AT ALL! But now, lol, it’s kinda sickening watching the two. He absolutley adores her now and can’t live without her! Poms have GREAT personalities and it’s so easy to fall in love with the fox like face. Maybe take your father to a local breeder so they can talk about the pro’s and cons. … or just do what I did and come home with one lol (not recommended lol)

Answer #7

How about a german spitz? looks just like a pom but a little larger… the best for each of you. a little bigger for your dad, but not that much bigger for you and really cute and fluffy like a pom

Answer #8

tell him you want to be like paris hilton or get a bigger dog like a pitbull
