My female bunny licks me all the time. I got her some salt sticks cause I thought she was licking the salt off my skin. However, she does not even lick the salt sticks, she will lick me instead. She is a very happy bunny. She "purrs" all the time and lays with me. But she is always licking me. Any suggestions. Is it just cause she loves me or do I need to get her a different kind of salt stick.
if you want the bunny to stop you should rub some vinigar on your skin and have her lick there acouplle of times do this until she asociates this licking with something bad if she likes vinigar try something els like pepper it will not hurt the bunny
when rabbits lick you, its a sign that they trust you and care for you(: so its not a bad sign just a sign of love haha(: I know because I asked my vet when my bunny started to do the same haha so keep raising her well xo(:
Why would you want her to stop? Licking is a sign that she really likes you and feels safe around you.
bunnies purr? a lot of mammals lick to show their sumbission to their masters, which is healthy.
