Why does my brother have an accent and I don't?

my brother has a like german or brittish accent and I do not. I do not have an accent. why is that??? I am kind of confused. is that because of my parents or what???

Maybe your brother used to live abroad when he was little and your family moved to wherever you live now, with him retaining his accent? Don’t know, could be anything, why not ask your parents?! If you’re American don’t think that you don’t have an accent, because you do :)

Because your both seperate individuals and EVERYBODY has their own unique way of talking nomatter how similar they might seem…

Might be caused by the people he talks too…or is surrounded by …or how he chooses to talk…

and my dear you also have an accent…you just don’t realize it because that’s what you think everyone talks like.
