Why do some movies give you the heebie jeebees?

Because they contain something uncontorble, something scary, or just something wierd that you just hope wont happen to you.

Most movies have lost the “scare” for me…but it use to be that The Ring and The grudge completely rattled me. I’d stay awake all night, listening for any footsteps lol.

I think it’s because you know at some level you could have that happen to you.

Merp. I don’t like it when I can’t see what’s coming at me. I.E. I’m in the dark, or the thing that’s scary is below me on the floor. Thus being able to grab me from my legs. And I hate it when they have animal abuse in films…so I have to leave a room when it happens. “Heebie jeebees” are just psychological.
