how can i not think about my mothers death?

she died Dic 15- 05

Answer #1

Not thinking about it makes you think about it even more, it just not works out that way. The best thing to do is to think about it, cry if you have to and write down things that you feel. Just get it out, it will be more affective than traying to keep it all in and try to push it away.

Ignoring your feelings wont help anything and its no healthy for you either. Your mother passed away, you have every right to miss her, think about her, and still get upset from time to time. Pushing those feelings to the side will do you more harm than good. Its okay to cry, its okay to think about her, afterall, she lives on through you and your memories. Get your feelings out, write, paint, make a scrapbook of her life that you can look at when your upset and that you can share with your children one day.

Answer #5

I wish we could not have to think about these things but its hard to control that. Instead of thinking about her death, rember all the good times you guys had, all the memmries and times that made who you are today. Instead of missing her, try thinking how thankful you that she was in your life. Be happy that she impacted as much as she did, dont dread over how shes gone. Don’t think of it as a lost but as a gain. Best wishes through this time.

;( thanks a lot …

Answer #7

A lot of people find comfort in ritual. Like a way to include their loved one in a small way without letting their death take over the whole holiday. Think about it…
