Can a mother pass HPV to her child while pregnant?

(how likely is it), what are all the ways to contract HPV, what other medical problems can it lead to and how serious it/what are the symptoms?

I have a good Friend who has had HPV for several years. Her daughter was not born with it.

HPV is a virus. You get it from sexual intercouse. its a sexually transmitted infection. There are more htan 40 types of HPV, It can also infect the mouth and throat. Most people dont know they have it but some cases you can see genital warts, warts in the throat and cervical cancer. It is the most common STI. Atleast 50% of se*xually active men and woman get it at some points in their lives. There is no cure. and it goes away on its own. Usually within a year or two
