How do you tell your mom that you want to start wearing eyeliner if she doesn't like you wearing makeup?

and all she lets me wear is mascara

Answer #1

You tell her that it is the only way you are going to find your own sense of style. Just because she doesn’t like it doesn’t mean she should not let you try it out.

Answer #2

when i started wearing makeup my mom didnt really care long as i didnt wear alot i only wore mascara and lipgloss so i guess it depends what age you are

Answer #3

dont start wearing eyeliner. i regret it cuz now i cant leave the house without it. i kno it sounds funny but eyeliner is addictive. if u wana wear it, i would sujest only wearing it wen u go out. if u still wana wear it like on a regualar day even though of wat i said, tell ur mom u only wana wear it on special occasions, then slowly start wearin it at scool.but i warn u, i wish i listened to my mom and never started wearing it.

The thing that parents understand most is compromise. If you compromise with your mother, chances are she will let you wear the make up that you want to. Like, you could tell her she can pick out the eyeliner, or that you will wear it thin, or she can decide if it looks appropriate or not. If you give her some control, she will be more flexible with her rules. (and this is just my personal opinion) but eyeliner doesn’t look good on young girls, and I am in highschool and I don’t like wearing it, I like looking more natural. The girls who started wearing eyeliner when they were young look pretty fake now because they wear it in excess. You should enjoy looking young while you still do, because makeup is for people who want to look young :)

Answer #7
