Mom is diying

I have been told by hospice that she has about 2 weeks left. And she keeps getting out of bed and constantly falling and she only weights 110 lb she doesn’t eat. hardly drinks and now I’m not sleeping at night because I’m so afraid she will get up no matter what I try to keep her in bed I feel bad because I just want her to go to heaven so she can stop hurting all the time, and I feel bad for even thinking that I am just so over welmed I dont know what else to do. and I cant have anyone else watch her cause she freaks out.

Answer #6

well, I would suggest you to have her checked up with some other doctor, may be, teh same doc. did not tell you right thing. Falling down of bed can be due to many reasons, make her eat drink well, make her +ve and she should survive… keep positive… did it help ?

Answer #7

I agree especially witgh ‘anergoo’ above - show your love in every way you can. Be wityh her, smile and go through with her all sorts of good memories you have from your times together. Try NOT to focus on how sad you’re feeling and how much your worry about losing her - she needs positive thoughts and happy memories to boost her at this terrible time, instead of feeling guilty about leaving you..

By al means, get a second opinion. But if she is a ill as it sounds, you will have to resign yourself to her going - try to make the times that you two have left as good as possible.

Answer #8

keep her in your prayer. it appears that your mom is one who doesnt want you to worry. she is very independent by what I am reading. I was told a few years ago by my own mother that she had cancer and that doctors gave her only 6 months to live. but she faught hard to not give up the will to of living life. I was only 5 years old, and I dont remember this incident. however, this was back in 1993 and she is still alive today. dont give up on her, keep her in your prayer, and know that everything will be okay. I am sure youre mom wants the same thing.

Thank you so much to every one! Her eyes are now glazed over and she cant swallow anything so now she is just on liquid morphine and her o2, they say it wont be much longer. She shocked me the other day when my pastor stoped by she asked for a prayer. And she keeps tilling her best friend that she is ready to go she is just so tired.I have told her it is ok to go now . So now its up to god whom I am talking with a great deal right now. I thought she was going this afternoon because I couldn’t get a b/p but the nurse came out and she is still here for now… Karen
