mom going back to school

.how can I as a teen help my mom go back to school.?

Answer #1

Promise to her-and keep the promise to her that you will hwlp out best you can if she goes back. That might motivate her.

Answer #2

Do the washing up, keeping your bedroom tidy, bringing down washing straight after you’ve worn it, do your homework on time and when your mum comes back make her tea or coffee or something then hang round with friends in spare time.

Answer #3

Do stuff around the house to help her have time to study…that’s the hardest part about getting back into the “school mode” after being a mom for a long time…learning to study when there are so many other things that seem to need being done.

Answer #4

In some towns there are special courses for teen moms, if not you should look for a correspondence program.

Answer #5

You’ve already taken the first important step - by caring. Your question shows that.

Look, I’ve taught in adult education for more than 45 years now. And do you know what the biggest problem is? Lack of self-confidence. So many adults lack the support of their families. Especially the teenagers too often make fun of them, saying things like ‘ How can you expect to learn anything at YOUR age?’ and stuff like that.

So keep on showing your love and support. I really think that’s even more important than doing the household chores… although that’s not a bad idea either!
