Military problems

I am 14 and when I turn 18 I want to join the military. I dont want to stand on the sidelines and watch as my people die. I want to stand up against the people that dont understand that we should be unified to make the most of out short time on earth. I want to be out there on the front lines, helping to end this constant war and struggle. I want to know what would be a better choice, army or national guard???

No one on this site can tell you what to do - that is a HUGE life decision and one that you must research and make for yourself. You need to do research on both programs and find out what you like and you dont like. No one elses feelings or opinions on this subject matter - because it’s your life and your butt that will be shipped out - not ours.

I would check out all the Services - I enjoyed the Air Force - if able, get a guaranteed job that can set you up for a civilian career when you’re done - example: computers (programmer/operator) or air traffic controller, electronic maintainance, etc are excellent…I wish you the very best and thank you for serving !!

im sorry but youre saying you want to go to war to end the war :S …” want to be out there on the front lines, helping to end this constant war” Im sorry but this is the root casue of wars; people wanting to go to war to end war- you got to admit that sounds stupid right. absalutly pointless. I dont agree with war, with the army or anything.

going to war to end war is like fuc*in for virginity. we’ll never have peace aslong as this is the worlds view on the matter.

if you look at it- ‘the national guard’ has become the ‘back bone’ of our military- with the other branches being the ‘limbs’ - with their assigned ‘specialties’.

the national guard has been called to duty everywhere we are fighting- and the tag ‘week end warriors’ simply does not apply they are ‘warriors’ in the same sense as the other branches.

I agree with mandyloos statement that it is your decision and no one elses- BUT I do applaud your decision to consider serving our country.

I just think that your frame of mind is awsome! You need to talk to the recrutiers and see what field would best fit you. Good luck and hey thanks
