Speeds of 50 km/h or lower or stop and go driving will also cause horrible gas mileage. Other than that you can have a mechanic check for any mechanical problems you may have missed. Tell him your fuel economy is very poor.

Minor things you can do for a small improvement: Use the recommended weight of motor oil, not thicker. Avoid the need to brake by leaving plenty of space between you and the person in front of you, and by keeping your speed moderate. Don’t worry about acceleration, however, only your km/h.
