Mice? Breeding? How? Eh?

Ok I have a male mouse and a female mouse. We have thought about breeding them and then we finnaly decided to breed them. How do I breed mice? They are feeding mice but I just keep them as pets. Thanks!!!

Put them together and leave them alone…it’s not quite like breeding horses, ya know…they’re very adept breeders…as you will soon see…

You have to first make sure that it’s a male and female - you can tell by the distance from their anus to their genitals. Females have a shorter distance in between them, also only adult female mice have nipples.

Once together breeding should be automatic and, in fact, pregnancy can be determined when the female refuses to breed. You may wish to separate them at this point.

Once the young is born, try to limit noise and other stress factors which can cause cannibalism of the newborns.
