How do you make Mexicali Dip?

I was just introduced to Mexicali dip from a friend. By the looks of the dip that I get it had jalapenos, carrots, onions, and I am not sure what else is in it. I’m looking for a great recipe to use. Any ideas?

I’ve never seen it with carrots, but people tend to add their own little touches…here is a basic recipe courtesy of easyappetizerrecipes.net - add your own faves: 4 oz canned green chillies, drained and chopped 1 tablespoon dried minced onions 1 lb Velveeta cheese, cubed 2 cups canned whole tomatoes, peeled, drained and chopped

Preparation:

Combine all ingredients in a pan.

Cook over a low medium heat until the cheese melts, then serve hot with tortilla chips or corn chips to dip.
