Menstruation and pregnancy.

Okay so heres the deal…

I just started birth control a month ago.. And two days after I started it, my boyfriend and I had sex and he came in me.. Im on the fourth week, the “fake pills” and just got my period yesterday and it is brownish and pasty.. It has also been a very dark red almost brown. I’ve also had really bad headaches.. Been really tired during the day, and my boobs hurt. Is it possible that I could be pregnant?

when your on the pill you don’t have proper periods if taken correctly so theres probably nothing to be worried about

See the thing with birth control is that it actually makes your body think that its pregnant. Depending on the pill, some make you throw up, some make you gain weight, some make you crave, its all a matter of what pill you are taking.

The hormone level in a birth control can cause you to make hormones in your body reach different levels.

It could be implantation bleeding or other bleeding associated with pregnancy. It is very possible that you may be pregnant. Birth control pills take 7 days to become effective(didn’t your doctor breif you?). Read the patient leaflet information.

That would depend on the type of birth control. Mine took a ful month to be effective. However, the placebo pill week is when you are supposed to get your period. If your symptoms continue after your period is over, take a test or go see your gyno.

Answer #5

I doubt it. You’re having your period its a good sign. The darker the red, the more iron you have in you actually. It goes with eating habits. Boobs can hurt when on your period..start looking into some other habits you’ve been doing. Instead of the one possibility.

It’s very possible, birth control is supposed to start working a week or 2 AFTER you start taking it. I’m on the depo shot and I start for a day and stop that same day not even enough for a tampon then after that I had the same brownish pasty stuff, I looked it up on the internet it say that my body was just cleaning it’s self out. But you should get a test and go to the doctor.

I hoped I helped.
