Meds and work

Ok, so my therapist wants to prescribe me an anti-anxiety medicine and as far as I know my clinic only prescribes xanax. The problem is I am trying to get a job and will most likely have to take a drug test. I know I wouldnt get in trouble if I have a prescription, but I dont want that part of my life to be on my job record. So I was wondering does xanax show on a drug test?

Answer #1

Anytype of medications show up on a drugs screening, but usually before any of that they ask about the medication you have taken in the last 6 months or 31 days. Also be careful your therapist doesn’t just prescribe you meds just to be a lazy therapist.

Answer #2

They may test for it. Since the rise of abuse of prescription drugs, I’m pretty sure they now test for those too…

Answer #3

ok, I guess what I mean to say is xanax something they test for? I know they test for all illegal substances

Answer #4

Well they will detct it and ask what you use it for. Bt that nt a drug they search for.
