Does medicaid for a pregnancy cover dental problems?

Ive searched their entire website and im confused. I tried calling but i cant get a human on the phone either. I have LaMoms through medicaid, and i have two teeth that are broken and have cavaties in them, i dont have an abcess at the moment but i get them quite often because of these two teeth. I know that they are supposed to cover any medical issue that could be harmful to the baby - would my teeth count?

I would definitely try asking someone about that at all costs because when doing teeth, they have to numb the area to work…and that can be harmful for the baby….any anesthetics can be harmful at this point…So my best advice to try somehow to get in touch with some human being, i used to have to wait for hours online to get any sort of representative but its better to be safe & know the facts then be sorry & not know :(

hope this helped.

I dont know anything about it but I think it should be. Dental health is important. There was a thing on the news here a few months ago about a man who died from not being able to afford to see a dentist. So yes, I think the problems you mentioned could very well impact on your baby’s health if not attended to. You could get an infection from it.
