Depends on where you live, and if you're working for a larger company, smaller, etc. In the Bay Area, you might make between 15-40 per hour, or more, depending on how good you are, training, certifications, etc.
most mechanics (in california, at least,) make $80-$100 per hour plus parts now a days. what a racket!
