Me and my girlfriend want to get a sperm donor. Is this safe??

I know were yound and we have our whole future set for us but we both want a baby boy but whatever comes out we will be glad and if we do get our boy then were going to adopt a baby girl. Do you think this is a good idea??

Personally I think it’s great, but I think you should wait a few more years (3-5) until your lives have had a chance to settle and you both are establish in your careers. Right now you are still dealing with past lovers and it is a bit chaotic. After the chaos is gone and you two are still committed to each other, then is the time to do it. In an ultra-conservative state it is going to be important to your child’s future that you both are mature enough to handle child rearing stresses as well as just day to day stresses.

Oh, I almost forgot your original question. Using a sperm donor through official channels is completely safe.
