How does the mayonnaise hair treatment work?

Mayonnaise hair treatments I heard that they do really well for hair that is dryed from to much strighting so will this work ? and if so how long should I keep it in and what to do when its time to take it out shampoo condition ect ? thank (:

It does help your hair, but it is because of the fatty acids. They now make products that are better to use (you don’t have to smell like mayo) You could also take fish oil and vitiam b tablets. Try vo hot oil treatment. However, if you don’t have the money and you are home and have mayo, go for it. I did it when I saw Julie Roberts do it in the movies, I think I had it on for about 15-30 min. and followed up with shampoo and conditioner.

It won’t repair damaged hair, and there’s even a lot to be said about using it as a conditioning treatment. Mayonnaise doesn’t have some of the key elements of a good conditioner - de-tangle, repair, and moisturise. Furthermore, it can’t offer you the necessary components of a good conditioner - body, shine, strengthen, and reduce static. So … the general consensus is - you won’t be doing anything productive by opting for mayonnaise over a good conditioner.
