Can anybody help me solve this maths problem?
Thirty seeds have been planted. After one week, some of them are 5cm high, a SMALLER number are 2cm high, and the rest are 1cm high. After another week, every plant had doubled size EXCEPT for one, which was 1cm high. The total height of all of these plants came up to 131cm.
How many plants of each height were there after ONE week? Thanks :)
"Imagine Anita swimming in a lake, 60m from the bank. She is enjoying her swim when she observes that her husband, who is looking after the family 100m along the bank of the lake, calling her for an afternoon snack. She'd like to get back to her family as quickly as possible. If she can swim at 3 m/sec and run at 7m/sec, how far along the bank should she land in order to get back as quickly as possible?"
10 cm = 10 Plants 4 cm = 5 Plants 2 cm = 5 Plant 1 cm = 1 Plant
Total = 131 cm
