is there a pill that will higher my matabolism
I exercise, and eat all the right foods. I am almost 45 and already in menopause. I have tried everything - I mean e v e are why t h I and g and cannot lose even one pound! In fact, people talk about not taking too many calories in.. well, I dont even take enough in - so now I'm accused of putting my body in the starvation mode. I have tried the scarsdale diet, I have bought some prescription phentermine pills for quite a bit of money and while they gave me more energy, and suppressed my appetite (which by the way is not the issue for me), I have not lost one ounce! I need a pill or something that will increase my metabolism and catapolt it into action. I drink water, no soda, I cut out sweets, I do not eat white bread, no junk food, no candy.. and have been walking.. I cannot lose weight. It's not for the lack of trying! I am eating salads, chicken, fruits and vegetables.. so what on earth are any of YOU going to tell me that I am doing wrong???
If you want to raise your metabolism then a little bit of exericse and sensible eating. When you eat your metabolism works to burn it up so regualr healthy eating keeps your metabolism going, once you cut right down on eating then your metabolism slows down. Simple exercises at home like skipping and walking up and down stairs several times is a good way, even dancing, thats a great way. Don't take any sort of pills or products and drink plenty of water, it helps flush your system. Plenty of fibre and less fat, eat chicken instead of red meats and rice, pasta and jacket potatoes, avoid fried foods, junk food and things with alot of sugar in them.
the best way to raise your metabolism is through exercise. a 20 minute workout or activity can raise your metabolism for at least four hours.
when I quit drining soft drinks I lost 5 pounds right away. btw, I'm 5'10" 200#. I walk outside my office a 1/2 mile to a mile every day, and already lost one inch around my waist.
eat sensibly, and be physically active. good luck!
dixi_dot: Ephedra is a well known metabolism raiser. It worked for me and I'm not unhealthy. I don't use it anymore because I no longer need it, but it gave me a great start. Remember, everything in moderation.
Everyone else: Sometimes, it's fun to just answer the question and not pontificate and copy/paste drivel you've Google'd.
The best way to raise your metabolism is to get active. . . . those pills are over the counter but harmful if misused. . . . try exercise and non sweet fluids. . . .
