Can having more male hormones in a girl recieve weight gain?

I was figured out to have Polysistic Ovarian Disease, and through the last year, I’ve gained pounds severly and my doctor said I have more testatrone, then a women needs..could having male hormones lead to weight gain? Please let me know!

Yes I heard it is possible. I heard it mainly has to do with insulin resistance which causes the weight gain. I think my friend has something like that too and she’s also a little overweight. Just stick to a healthy diet and exercise when you can then you should be alright

Yes, and in regards to a healthy diet, there are many foods can can find out about only that will help lower your testosterone levels, and well as some that will raise your estrogen. I have a similiar problem, and I had dark DARK body hair and skin problems, and it takes a lot of effort, in both activity and diet, to keep things decently regulated.

there is weight gain associated with PCOS but its not related to the higher levels of androgens (like testosterone). PCOS also affects diet-related hormones like insulin and this is where the weight gain comes into it.

It makes you produce muscle more easily when exercising and stuff (the testosterone) and muscle weights more than fat does.. so this can make you heavier.
