Making my friends stop swearing around me

I have friends that constantly swear all the time and I just really dont like it when they talk that way around me,..I have my standards, 

How can I convince them to stop

(I dont want any stupid answers telling me other wise about the subject)

I swear a lot too. me and my friends make a game outa it to make the day fun who ever can go the longest without swearing, gets to choose where to go for lunch and doesnt have to pay. I don’t know make a small bet with them or something, and maybe they will accept the bet.

I dont think you can no one likes to be told what to do especially teens…but you could explain to them why and they may do it outta kindness.but in the off chance they dont…then I suggest you ignore it…fact is a lot of people talk like this…and if they dont someone else will later…hearing it does not mean you have to start…and perhaps if they see you can keep conversations without cussin…then they might stop too.

You can’t really stop them, you can only set an example.

A lot of times people swear because the lack a good command of language or also because they think that it makes them look cool.

You can try making suggestions to them but if they keep swearing and it really annoys you, then you may have to consider changing friends.
