I guess it depends on what is being defined as dry sex here... I didn't see the previous question, lol. Lubrication in this context tends not to help. If it is hurting though (I read over the last question), then yes a lubricant will at least prevent the pain. However it won't make things feel any better than they would if you were producing natural lubricant, etc. Dry sex is exactly how it sounds, lol.
Not really... It can't hurt, but it doesn't have much of an impact at all. By all means try it, seeing as different things appeal to and work for different people. It's just that it's called 'dry' sex for a reason, lol.
