adminstration password for nmy computer how do I reset it

I forgot my adminstration password for nmy computer how do I reset it if I can not login

Answer #1

This is a tricky one. If you are using a PC and not a MAC. There are many ways to fix your machine that would be unsavory (reformatting, reinstalling windows, opening another partition) but you don’t seem like you want to do this. I would recommend reading this article http://www.petri.co.il/forgot_administrator_password.htm. Next time make a password that you can remember. If you did not change the password in the first place it may be pass, admin, or leave it blank.

For admin password reset following two websites can help you: First: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/toolsofthetrade/tp/passrecovery.htm It show us 7 free reset program. You can use the blank DVD/CD or USB drive to download one of the seven to create a reset disk to reset.

Second: http://www.resetwindowspassword.com It talks about the reset software, Anmosoft Windows Password Reset. It can reset your admin password or other local accounts password. And with it you can delete or reset your former password.

Answer #3

Here I take Windows 7 as an example.

In Windows 7, the default administrator account is disabled and, thus, the administrator account has a blank password. When you activate the real administrator account, you will firstly be asked to set a password for it. At the same time, there are accounts that have administrative privileges in Windows 7. Passwords for these accounts are also taken as administrator passwords. Here below, I will introduce different ways in different situations.

  1. If it’s the real administrator, this is a fairly easy to reset. Step 1: Click on “Start” and then hit to open “Control Panel”. Click on the “User Accounts and Family Safety” link. You then can see “User Accounts” in the next page, select it. Note: If you’re viewing the “Large icons or Small icons” view of “Control Panel”, you won’t see this link. Simply click on the User Accounts icon and proceed to the next step. Step 2: In the “Make changes to your user account” area of the “User Accounts ” window, click on the “Manage Accounts” option. You will be able to find the administrator account, and then click on it. Step 3: Turn off password required. Change this option and you can log on your administrator account without password.
