Lost earphones?

My friend lost the earphones I let her borrow. She said a relative might have thrown it out. Should she have to pay for them?

Depends… Did they cost a lot of money? If so, then something should come from your friend to help get them replaced… If they wer cheap, then… chaulk it up to a risk you take when you loan ANYTHING. Sometimes accidents just happen.

If this is a really good friend… it could really have been an accident — it’s not like she threw them out, even if she was the one you loaned them to.

You should think about what the best outcome would be if you insist on making her replace them — Think if the situation was reverse.

Now — if they were lost because your frield didn’t put them away properly, and this “relative” just happened to pick them up with other things that just happened to be thrown away — then, she should take a large portion of responsibility for not properly caring for something loaned to her — as to making her pay for them… That’s hard, but I think the outcome depends on how good this friend is, and if they have a conscience about losing your things that they wer supposed to take care of.

Also consider that you might lose a friend too in this process…

If you push buttons too hard because it really was their fault, they might get mad, even if you’re right and tell you where to go…

Yeah, you let her borrow them. It’s her responsibility to take care of them and return them to you in the same condition they were in when you gave them to her. You should ask her to pay for them.

Is money more important than friendship?

You may kick your friend’s butt if you want.. but don’t accept money from her. When your friend makes a mistake, you should act as if it was you who made it.

Tell her it’s okay.. tell her you don’t give a damn.. tell her to kill her relative.. tell her to buy you a ticket to Egypt.. tell her to say sorry 17000 times

But don’t tell her to pay you back.. it will hurt her

You are friends.. it makes no difference in whose pockets the money is.. it is gonna be spent on both of you regardless of which one spends them

Who cares about a damn headphone anyway?

Keep your head up
