Why do I sneez?

Every time I look at the sun I have a sneezing fit, my question is why?

Answer #1

I read somewhere that when you see a sudden change in light you can sneeze. it’s perfectly normal, I just can’t remember why it happens!

Answer #2

It’s called the photic sneeze reflex, and between 10-25% of the population have it. I get it too. No one really knows why it happens, but one idea is that the pupillary light reflex (where your pupils get smaller when exposed to bright light) somehow also activates the sneeze reflex, possibly by crossed nerve pathways. It’s not really proven though, because different colours seem to activate it to a greater or lesser extent.

Answer #3

never figured that out.. but its normal so nothing to be worried about
