Why am I having long periods and spotting after sex?

I’m 18 and just lost my virginity a few weeks ago. We used protection, however, the condom broke. I was late for my period, about a week or so, and then when I actually started to bleed, it was very light..pink really. This lasted for about 3 days. Finally after the third day, the bleeding became heavier and looked more like my normal period. The thing is, I bleed for about 12 days, when I normally go no more then 5 days. It just stopped yesterday, but I started bleeding again today. I’m not sure if my body is just adjusting to the fact that I lost my virginity or what. I’m getting rather frustrated and just want to know what exactly is going on. >_<

Talk to your ob-gyn about it. You’re supposed to see one now that you are sexually active anyway. She would be able to see if everything looks ok, give you a pregnancy test, and give you some birth control.

i dont think ur pregnant.. If he came.. and the condom broke go to the dollar store and find a birth control test. its urinary testing soptting happens cuz ur cherry poped and it stretched itl be like that for a bit. :)

I think the safest thing would be to see an OB-GYN. Especially if the condom broke-since there could be a posibility of pregnancy. Even visit a planned parenthood clinic if you cant see an OB-gyn!

go to your local store and do a pregnancy test. That will ease your mind on the birth problem. And on the bleedig subject i would call your garnicaligist and ask him/her. Also look this up on google and you might find some answers.
