How long does it take for your period to regulate after starting it? how much time does it take for ur period to be normal after u have bearly started it

Answer #1

Well, I am a year on and its still not regular. So, I am not sure. It varies for everyone.

Answer #2

Yes, it’s different for everyone, but it can take two years or more. You might skip the odd month here and there. It’s a pain not knowing when it’s going to come, but all can do is have plenty of tampons (or whatever you use) in supply if it comes at an unexpected time.

Answer #3

Mine never got regular actually. I’m on birth control now, and I recently had yet another problem with regularity. For the most part though things work like clock work on the pill. All natural, you really have no idea.

Answer #4

it can take a few years before your period becomes regular

Answer #5

I used to have that problem… one time I didn’t have it for three months and then for a week straight! I was 16 and my mom noticed and thought I was pregnant, told her its hard to be pregnant when you are a virgin. Anyways I took the pill and it helped a lot but had to stop because it started making me sick. It didn’t actually get regular until after I had my first baby when I was 21.

Answer #6

oops I meant a month straight, not a week. :)

Answer #7

u should have it about 12 times a year and every 21 days

Answer #8

it usually takes about 3 years.

Answer #9

You may find that it may be longer than once a month even when you are regular. I only have about 8/9 a year. And it took me 2/3 years for me to become regular.

Answer #10

I have had mine since 5th grade and im now a senior in high school and mine still isnt regular. it wasnt regluar until i got on the pill. So really, you can talk to your mom. With daughters they are alot like their moms when it comes to this topic. I know how you feel not knowing. Like someone said before keep a supply in your purse/bookbag/locker. I used to keep a pack of pads in my locker. You can try to write it down on your calender and count either 21 or 28 days from the day you start and that should help you kinda know when to expect it. If it doesnt become regular with in a few years talk to your mom about birth control (if you have that kind of relationship with your mom).
