Do you always lock the doors, and windows on your car and house, or do you feel there is no need to?

Where I live? No need….we don’t even own a key for the house.

The car, yes usually. The house, never unless we take all the dogs with us. We have three dogs - 1 extra large and 2 small. People would have to be nuts to break in here.

We lived in a bad area in Toronto for several years and never locked our house doors. We had a 220 pound Irish Wolfhound and an Arctic Wolf cross.

I am not telling! lol! “Here come to my open house! Hang out in my open car and grab my ipod!” oops. I guess I just did.

Where i live now, yes i always lock our home, windows, and vehicles since its not exactly a perfect neighborhood and we have been broken into. I dont lock my doors on my car however when i go somewhere like shopping…its an old car and theres nothing of value in it. I figure if they want it that bad they can have it and ill collect the insurance money. lol

When we used to live in a quiet and peaceful little town in Maryland eastern shore we never locked our cars. One time my wife had a friend from downtown Baltimore spent the night.

Sometime at sundown we where walking by the cars and me and my wife giggled when we looked at her friend in her car locking the steering wheel with and anti theft device.

We were going for a walk around the subdivision and her friend didn’t want her beat up Hyundai Accent stolen so she put “The Club” on the steering wheel.

Always. I live in a nice neighborhood where people usually leave their car windows down in the summer and unlocked, but I grew up in a bad neighborhood where the idea of that is ludicrous. So for me, it’s better safe than sorry. I lock my car doors, I make sure my car is on ym driveway and not my garage, I lock my window even though I’m on the second floor, I always bolt my front door shut. My parents think I’m nuts but I had my “I told you so” moment when someone broke into my neighbors house in our ‘nice’ neighborhood.

Yes. It’s habit from when I grew up. I’ve left my keys hanging on the door several times though (surprisingly my car has never been stolen). My neighborhood is relatively safe, but I have heard of a few incidents concerning theft.

I always lock everything up at home and at work. My house isn’t really in a bad neighborhood I’m just paranoid.

When I’m at my best mates house which is 30min drive out of town, I rarely worry about it.

I lock the doors to everything.It doesn’t matter my area.The economy is in a downfall obviously and i wouldn’t wanna take no chances plus it is just makes you feel safe.I mean doesn’t everybody lock up?

We always lock up our cars and house at night. They haven’t been broken into but we don’t live in the best neighbourhood. Police do regular drive-bys :|

I always lock my house. For some reasons there is quite a bit of theft in the student areas in my town (no idea why, we’r students, therefore we are POOR!). Im not too concerned where I am - I live in a complex with some pretty nosy neighbours who would probably notice anything suspicious.

I always lock everything, even though I live in a nice neighborhood. I also keep a loaded gun and own a Rottweiler so I think I’m covered lol
