Can you get an apartment if emancipated in Texas?

In the state of Texas, are you able to get an apartment if you are emancipated? I am 17 w/child but I’m just trying to figure out what I can do b/c my sister is my legal guardian and she told me that I can’t move out w/o her consent.

Answer #1

If your sister is your legal gardian then you are not emancipated.

Answer #2

I DON ‘T SEE WHY NOT, I MEAN IT CAN BE DONE, I WAS 17 YEARS OLD WHEN I EMANCIPATED MY SELF FROM D.C.F.S. WHY YOU want to MOVE OUT?

Answer #3

I think most places require yoou to be 18 but it my be different if you bring them proof of emancipation.
