The only real answer to that is... Contact a bankruptcy attorney. There are only a few laws that are the same in all 50 states, and I've no idea about in other countries. I do know the rules have changed in the last few years. You can no longer file on credit cards, student loans, or any government issues (like child support, or back taxes). Like sheep said, you'd have to give us where you are located before we could answer that with any details :)
