What can I do if the vet's closed?

My dog got two lacerations on her back. what can I do if the vet’s closed?

Answer #1

as the others have said - there is usually an emrgency number just as there is emergency services for people. Make sure the wounds are clean and than you could get some non sticky bangade and wrap round her to protect the wounds and stop bleeding. It will need treatment and probably stitches. and poor thing will be in pain

Answer #2

Call your vet…they probably have an answering service. They will meet you there. It’ll cost more, but worth the money…

most vets have emergency hours where you can phone them. if it’s deep lacerations best to go to the vet or get some kind of treatment as soon as possible.

Baldwinwolf is correct.

Answer #4

that depends on how deep the lacerations are, if they are more or less shallow you should treat the wounds like if it were a human- place some ointment on it and attempt to place a sterile dressing and bandage on it. and take your dog to the vet tomorrow morning.

if the lacerations are deep and bleeding profusely- you should call the vets number and see if they have an emergency number.

IF YOUR DOG IS BLEEDING BADDLY YOU NEED TO GET IT TO SOME KIND OF TREATMENT A.S.A.P.

Answer #5

they should have a answering service or leave you with a Emergancy Vet’s phone number
